Bio-Flex Laser Therapy Clinic in the Interior of BC
Laser treatments work to heal injuries instead of temporarily masking pain and other symptoms. Treatments are deeply absorbed into damaged tissues, muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints. Injuries are healed when laser therapy stimulates the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the fuel in your cells, making more energy available for tissue repair and healing. Laser therapy can restore normal cell function to resolve chronic conditions and minimize the production of scar tissue.
What does that mean to you?
As your injury heals you can say good-bye to pain!

- Burns (thermal and chemical)
- Dermatological (eczemas, herpes zoster, psoriasis, acne, acne rosacea)
- Neurological (neuropathies, bell's palsy, trigeminal neuralgia, peripheral nerve damage, gout, arthritis, lymphedema, remodelling of dermal lesions - keloids, scars etc.)
How does it work?
This technology uses superluminous diodes placed on the skin using specific wavelengths of light - abnormal tissue absorbs these photons; there particles of energy are absorbed by a variety of molecules resulting in the conversion of light into biomechanical energy. Multiple positive physiological responses are thereby initiated and normal cell morhpology and function are restored. This process is curative and eliminates symptoms including pain and edema.
How long does a treatment take?
Treatments are typically 30 minutes to 60 minutes in duration depending on the condition being treated.
Although variable, most patients start to notice relief of symptoms within the first 6-8 visits.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments will depend on a variety of factors including: the specific condition/tissue affected, severity, how long the problem has been there, recurring activities, age, general health, diet, activity, and the genetic makeup of the cells. After a consultation with the Doctor, he can give you an estimated number of treatments.
(A recent clinical review, including 1,000 consecutively treated patients, revealed the average number of treatments to be 9.4)
Are there any side effects?
Unlike most pharmaceutical solutions and other therapeutic options, laser therapy is non-toxic, non-invasive and in over one million individual treatments, no significant adverse effects have been noted.
The physiological effects of LILT result in an increase in:
- DNA synthesis (genetically encoded material for cell reproduction)
- Collagen Production (basic framework of muscles, tendons and ligaments)
- ATP production (the "fuel" of cells)
- Endorphins (morphine-like substances produced by the body to reduce the sensation of pain)
- Immune cell number and activity (macrophages, fibroblasts, lymphocytes, etc.)
- Lymphatic drainage (reduce edema)
- Blood vessel formation (improved circulation and tissue oxygenation)
